Overview
Skywall is an app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro that shows several live TV channels at once. It is made by Simple Products Labs LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to data when you use the app and this website.
Data collection in the app
The Skywall app collects no personal data. In the app there is:
- No account and no sign-in
- No analytics
- No tracking and no advertising identifiers
- No transmission of your data to us
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
Your purchase is processed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. Apple does not give us your name, email address, payment details or Apple Account. We see only aggregated sales figures and, for users who have chosen to share with developers, anonymized usage statistics.
Settings stored on your device
The app saves a few settings on your device so your wall looks the same next time:
- The wall layout (how many screens you show)
- The channels you placed on each screen and which one plays sound
- The country you last browsed in the channel list
This data stays on your device, is never sent to us, cannot be accessed by us or any third party, and is deleted when you delete the app.
The channel list
To keep the catalog current, the app downloads the public channel list from getskywall.app/channels and keeps a copy on your device. The request contains no personal data or identifiers. The list is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web server, may process technical data such as your IP address under GitHub's own privacy statement. We do not receive that data. Channel logos are loaded from the public addresses listed in the channel list, and channel descriptions come from Wikidata and Wikipedia.
The YouTube player
Every channel plays the broadcaster's official live stream through YouTube's official embedded player. That player is provided by Google, which may use cookies and similar technologies, collect information about playback and show ads, under the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. We do not control the player, have no access to what it collects, and receive no data from it.
Links in a channel's details (Wikipedia, the broadcaster's website, YouTube) open outside the app, and those sites have their own privacy policies.
Security
Settings stored on your device are protected by the built-in security of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS. The app sends nothing to us. Streams and the channel list travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) directly between your device and the services that provide them.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Live channels are chosen by the user and are not filtered for age. Parents and guardians can use Screen Time and Content & Privacy Restrictions provided by Apple.
Email you send us
If you write to support@screencommand.app, we use your message and email address only to answer you and improve the app. We keep support emails only as long as needed to handle your request, and we delete them on request.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard technical data such as your IP address for security and operations under its own privacy statement. The site uses no analytics, no tracking scripts, no cookies and no third-party fonts or embeds. If you close the language suggestion, your browser remembers that choice locally; it is never sent to us.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Because the app keeps nothing about you on our side, the only personal information we could hold is an email you sent us. To exercise any right, email support@screencommand.app. We answer within one month, free of charge.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we make no automated decisions about you.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
