One story in two languages
Put a channel in the language you're learning next to an English channel covering the same story. Give the first one the sound and keep the English one silent for context; tap a screen to switch which one you hear.
Find channels in your language
- Browse news channels by country, or see which are live right now.
- Ready-made walls group channels by language, such as news in Spanish and Arabic news.
- International channels broadcast in several languages: DW, France 24 and Euronews each run news channels in more than one.
Make it a habit
- Watch the same channel at the same time each day: the presenters, formats and vocabulary repeat.
- Start with headline loops and weather, which repeat key words, before longer debates.
- Write down three words from each story and look for them again the next day.
- Set the sleep timer so a session ends on its own.
Real broadcasts, from the source
Every channel is the broadcaster's own live stream on YouTube, in YouTube's player. You hear the language as it's spoken on air today, accents and all.

Can I hear two channels at once?
